Monkeypox strikes what should we pay attention to
The first case of monkeypox virus has been detected in Delhi, India. The patient was admitted at the Lok Nayak Jai Prakash (LNJP) Hospital in the city and had no history of foreign travel. This is the fourth confirmed case of monkeypox virus reported in India.
The 34-year-old man recently attended a bachelorette party in Manali, Himachal state. He was admitted to hospital three days ago with fever and skin damage.
On Saturday (July 23), his sample was sent to the National Institute of Virology in Pune and came back positive.
Dr Kumar said: "The virus is actually different from the coronavirus. Monkeypox is a DNA virus and if people with monkeypox have weakened immunity then the risk is high. The coronavirus vaccine has no effect on it. "The disease affects the skin, but it also affects the brain or the eyes."
Monkeypox virus is transmitted from infected animals to humans through indirect or direct contact. Human-to-human transmission can occur through direct contact with infectious skin or lesions, including face-to-face, skin-to-skin contact, and respiratory droplets.
More than 16,000 monkeypox cases have been reported in 75 countries around the world, and five deaths have been reported so far.
Therefore, we urge everyone to pay attention to opening windows for ventilation when at home to avoid being infected by droplets or the environment.
Here we recommend our company's 115 series sliding windows, which have sufficient scenery and excellent ventilation.
