5 tips for aluminum welding
1. The most suitable for welding aluminum is the wire drawing torch. If you cannot use this torch, try to use the shortest torch to keep the torch straight; only argon gas can be used as a shielding gas; when welding aluminum (automatic pipe welding machine) can only be used to push the gun.
2. If you find a wire feeding problem, try a conductive tip one size larger than the wire.
3. The most commonly used wire when welding aluminum is the softer standard wire. The other is stiffer (easier to wire feed) and is mainly used in welding operations where hardness and strength are required.
4. Before welding starts, the oxide layer on the surface of the aluminum material should be removed, and a special stainless steel brush should be used to remove the oxide layer.
5. Fill the crater at the end of welding to prevent cracks. One way to do this is to leave the torch in the weld pool for a few seconds after welding.
